Langsam ziehen Nebelschwaden übers Land herein, Dunkelheit bringen sie mit sich. Ich kann dich nicht mehr sehn, deine Silhouette erkenn ich nur noch fein, Alles und doch nichts, ich fürchte mich. Der Bäume Geruch mich umhüllt, Den Weg ich schon vor Stunden verlor. Die Suche nach dir mich erfüllt, Ich dir meine ew'ge Liebe schwor. Ich irre verloren durch's Dickicht, Auf der Suche nach warmem, glänzenden Licht. Die Kälte mir den Rücken hoch steigt, Mir meine schwindende Hoffnung zeigt. Meine Knie knicken ein, Ich sinke kraftlos zu Boden. Verloren in dunklem sein, Verurteil zu tausend Toden. Tränen mir laufen übers Gesicht, Die Stille mich erdrückt.
